Seeing the world in various shapes, colours, patterns and light is very useful when viewing it through a camera lens.

Like many photographers of my era, my photographic journey started with Instamatic and 35mm film cameras, photographing mainly people, places and surrounding events.

I can't tell you how many hours and rolls of film I went through, trying to master the art of this craft, with mixed success and lots of money spent.

However, as technology evolved and the new age of digital started to emerge, my curiosity in this space only increased, investing all my savings on my first whizz bang digital camera in the mid nineties.

ProLens Photography is a result of my 20+ year love affair with capturing everyday people.

This first wave of digital cameras was where I really started to explore what I could do with my photography. Whilst I still enjoyed photographing people and places, I did start to hone my skills on more inanimate objects, such as interiors, architecture & products.

The more photographs I took, the more I knew this was truly my secret passion.  However there was no way I could fully immerse myself in this, until I understood the technical side of photography.

So after some formal training training, I took that last leap of faith to pursue my passion and become a commercial photographer.

My body of work mainly centres around people, with my corporate portrait / headshot photography.

However I also do have a range of services in the following areas:

  • Portraiture - individual and corporate headshots / portraits

  • Interiors & Architecture - Residential & commercial interiors and buildings

  • Events - for both corporates and private parties

  • Glamour Photography - for your social or personal memoirs

  • Weddings - Capturing small events only

  • Content Photography - Product Marketing & Content Imagery

  • Landscapes - commissioned work available upon request.

My style is simple and authentic - but my end goal is fixed on capturing;

  • an individuals personality,

  • the character of an interior space,

  • a corporations identity,

  • the mood of an event or

  • the innocence of our children

  • the tranquility of a landscape.

My website contains only a small portion of images of my actual work. So if you are interested in commissioning me to photograph something other than what you see here, please feel free to send me an email via the contact me page.
